If there is a sacred number in Kalenjin, it is Number Four(Ang’wan). Why did ancient Kalenjin decide that four becomes a sacred number and not 2,3,5,7.9 etc.? The Kalenjin from time immemorial have been guided by Nature and surroundings. Nature is from Kalenjin Netoror(Asis/God). When the ancient Kalenjins(Ancient Egyptians) observed the universe, they realized that the world had four directions-North, West, East and South. He also realized that the cow has four legs and four tits. So they decided to have number Four as sacred.

Again, Number 4 is the number that represents the four elements of Air, Fire, Water, and Earth, and the four sacred directions, North, South, East, and West as said above.
Angel Number 4 is an indication that your angels are offering you love, support, encouragement, and inner-strength, enabling you to do what you need to do and achieve your goals with diligence and proficiency. When you take positive action towards your highest intentions, aspirations, and goals, the Universe works in your favor and helps you to establish solid foundations and advance you along your path.
when the Kalenjins were praying in olden days, they intoned four times( Yas ang’wan ole yas!). There is a story of Kipsoroi who led the Kalenjins out of slavery when he intoned four times:
1. Bekap Kamama yas ole yas-Kipsigis
2. Bekaap Kamama saaat=Nandi
3. Piiko kamama Chulchul-Kupsabiny
4. Pogho kamama sim-Pokot
5. Pegho kamama chulchul-Sabaot.

For Kipsoroi to lead the Kalenjins out of Rireet ab Musaiga, he intoned four times the above ancient incantations.
