The proposal tabled by the building bridges task force entailed a seven-year non-renewable term for a president.
The building bridges task force was formed following the handshake between Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga on 9 March. The team has been working round the clock to ensure a peaceful Kenya as it collects views from individuals and groups.
In the proposal tabled by the task force, a prime ministers post will be created and more executive positions.
ODM party is also calling for the reintroduction of the parliamentary system and the president elected by a college of lawmakers.
The proposal also suggested that the legislative is restructured and the Senate strengthened as Upper House.
The opposition party also wants the chairmanship of IEBC at national and regional levels made rotational.
They further suggested the introduction of 14 regional governments and the creation of regional assemblies comprising all members of county assemblies in each region.
