
National Development Implementation and Communication Committee
Interior Cabinet Secretary on Tuesday chaired his first cabinet meeting after being appointed by President Kenyatta as a super CS. Matiangi was appointed as the chairperson of the newly constituted National Development Implementation and Communication Committee.
His first meeting which was held at Harambee House and was attended by all cabinet secretaries. Karanja Kibicho who is currently holding office as permanent secretary State Department of Interior stated that the committee received and appraised implementation plans for National Government development programmes and projects

“The committee identified challenges constraining effective execution and delivery. The committee will provide a weekly report to His Excellency the President with recommendations on how to address them,” stated Kibicho.
CS Matiangi indicated that the first meeting was meant to review implementation plans for all development programmes and projects to fast-track execution as directed by President Uhuru through Executive Order No.1 of 2019.

Announcing the new directive, Uhuru indicated that all departments and semi-autonomous agencies must embrace a multi-agency approach.
