Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) students blocked the Thika super highway protesting the murder of their female comrade.
The student who was reportedly stabbed on Thursday night at around 8pm at Seagull Hotel. The slain student was in the first year of her education.
The student who was hurried to Jkuat hospital and was pronounced dead upon arrival.
According to the students who held their protests, such killings was just one of the many incidents that have happened in the vicinity. They said that they have been living in fear of gangs that have been terrorizing students.
“Almost everyone I know in Juja has been robbed at least once, apparently there is even an all-female gang who steal from ladies,” protested Theo Mwangi.
