Kenyans To Pay Ksh20,000 To Attend Governors Devolution Conference


The Council Of Governors has announced the price of the event that will be hosted by Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru at Kirinyaga University.

Anyone who wants to attend the event that will be held between March 4 and March 8, 2018, will pay Ksh. 20,000 and Ksh. 50,000 to exhibit products. The money that will be collected from the event will be used to cater for expenses incurred in the conference.

The vice chancellor of Kirinyaga university Professor Mary Ndungu affirmed to the committee preparing the event that the facilities were ready to be used by the delegates attending the event.

 “Despite the school being in session, the university will ensure that everything works seamlessly with minimum interruptions on either operation,” assured Mary Ndungu.

“We have held several meetings with representatives from the county, hoteliers from the county, and the CoG team and our people have been sensitized on the standards of food and sanitation for the meeting,” stated the Governor.

She also assured tight security will be well be organized for the five-day event.

“We have held meetings with security officers from the region to discuss how the delegates will be protected during the conference,” she confirmed.

The conference will build up from previous ones and allow the government and its key stakeholders to discuss what they have managed to deliver, the transformation over the last one year and to measure the progress made in regards to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Big Four Agenda.
