Free College Education For KCSE Candidates Who Scored Ds


Last years KCSE candidates who did not qualify to join university are set to study for free in the various colleges across the country.

This comes according to the new plan by the ministry of education where the government will subsidize some part of the fees and still eligible for a government loan to pay the remaining amount.

School fees at TVET institutions averages at Ksh 56,420, where the government will clear Kshs 30,000 initial payment while the balance is easily paid by a government loan of up to Ksh. 40,000 that the students will be eligible.


The loan will be available to all TVET students just like the ones in University so as to avoid discrimination in the transition to higher education which in the past were only favoured to the high performing students.

“We are reforming the sector to make it relevant as it is crucial for the Big Four agenda,” stated Education CS Amina Mohamed.


Dp Ruto Set To Increase Foreign Travels In The New 2022 Master Plan

Deputy President William Ruto is so keen as he looks forward to succeed President Kenyatta at the end of his term. He is looking forward to increase key contacts in different capitals as the race heat up.

According to Daily Nation, DP Ruto has turned foreign travels as he seeks to establish good working relationships across the world.

This revelation comes days after DP announced that he was slowing down his presidential bid. His first visit was to the United Kingdom on Wednesday, February 6 has set the ball rolling.

DP Ruto on his visit to the United Kingdom gave a lecture at Chatham House where he proposed for the creation of an office of the leader of the opposition.

“The winner ascends to a formally constituted leadership role while the runner-up becomes a virtual stranger in leadership,” the DP stated during his address.

DP stated that the post created will unify the country since the opposition leader will have a formal role in government.

Details have appeared that President Kenyatta may have been hoaxed into presenting dummy title deeds during a ceremony at Jacaranda Grounds, Nairobi in May 2018.

According to Dailly Nation, Nairobi Lands Cabinet Executive Charles Kerich was put to task by Nairobi County Assembly Planning Committee Chairperson Anthony Kiragu on Friday to explain what transpired.

“As a committee, we want to know who lied to the President that 50,000 titles were ready whereas that was not the truth,” enquired Kiragu.

The Lands  CEC revealed that the figure was arrived at based on a realistic target they thought could be met. Charles Kerich revealed that 623 title deeds had been issued to Nairobi county residents. He continued that 30,000 of the titles were yet to be issued by the county government while the rest would be handled by the national government.

During the issuing of the title deeds, President Kenyatta had noted that some investors in the city were living in fear because they had put up buildings on parcels of land without title deeds and time had come for them to get their right.

“Those to whom we have issued with titles today will know Nairobi is also theirs,” said Kenyatta.

Ruto’s Staff Yet to Receive Monthly Allowances Since August

DP Rutos staff are yet to be paid their monthly allowances since August last after budget cuts that hit his office.

Member of his security detail, drivers and press team are among those yet to receive per day for the past five months. The delay of payment was caused by drastic budget cuts, with fingers pointed at Rutos critics.


DPs office budget is in the hands of statehouse controller former Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua. The last allowance paid was to the staff who traveled with DP Ruto when he visited Marsabit County on August 31, last year.

However, Ruto’s spokesman David Mugonyi refuted they were any budgetary constraints.

“Those are lies, total lies. It is not true at all,” Mugonyi mentioned when asked about the unpaid dues.

Kalonzo Musyoka who is one of NASA CO-Principals on Friday announced that he was ready to support President Kenyatta’s bid for a third term in office.

Kalonzo revealed his support during the Kamba leaders meeting in Machakos County. He stated that the constitutional review process was unstoppable and called on leaders from other communities to support the president’s will.

“Let’s come together with other communities and help our brother Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta. If he says after the new Constitution that he wants to proceed I will support him,” declared Kalonzo.

According to Kalonzo, there was a need to expand the executive in order to make the government an all-inclusive state once and for everyone. He also revealed that there was a general agreement among the opposition parties to team up with President Kenyatta to oversee the revision exercise.

“I foresee a situation where Wiper Democratic Movement will go into coalition with Jubilee, ODM, ANC, Ford Kenya and form one indivisible political juggernaut that will produce the next Prime Minister under a new Constitution, ” he stated.

At the event, Kalonzo Musyoka belittled a brewing rebellion instigated against him by Governors Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni),  Alfred Mutua (Machakos) and Charity Ngilu (Kitui), who did not attend the function.

Why DP Ruto Cancelled Cocktail With Kenyans in London


Dp William Ruto on Thursday arrived in London and was expected to meet Kenyans in the UK for a cocktail meeting.

The plan for the cocktail meeting was however canceled in the last minute. DPs communication team indicated that DP was forced to be returned to the country to ensure that he and his boss were not out of the country at the same time. The president was headed to Ethiopia for the 32nd Ordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government.

David Mugonyi, the DP’s Communication Secretary told Citizen Digital, “He’s coming back. President leaves for Ethiopia Saturday morning so he can’t be away.”

The cocktail had been scheduled by the Kenya High Commission for Friday at 6.30pm for approximately one and a half hours. Persons that had signed up for the event were, however, notified that it was canceled on Thursday. The message was sent through Eventbrite- event management and ticketing website.

The notice read, “Good evening, Thank you for registering to attend the Cocktail to be hosted by H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto, PhD, EGH, the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, scheduled for Friday 8th February 2019 from 1830hrs to 2000hrs in London. However, due to unavoidable circumstances, the event will not take place. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused,” the Kenya High Commission told those who had registered.”

Back in London, the DP welcomed the assurance from the UK government that Brexit would not affect the county’s relationship with Kenya.

Regarding the trade relations, he indicated, “Continued engagement and use of technology to deepen collaboration on areas of mutual interest will boost our manufacturing sector; stimulate industry; drive the Big Four.”

Manoah Esipisu, who is the High Commissioner of Kenya to the United Kingdom, informed that the DP’s visit was meaningful in promoting trade, investment, tourism, and people-to-people relations.

Kenyans To Pay Ksh20,000 To Attend Governors Devolution Conference


The Council Of Governors has announced the price of the event that will be hosted by Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru at Kirinyaga University.

Anyone who wants to attend the event that will be held between March 4 and March 8, 2018, will pay Ksh. 20,000 and Ksh. 50,000 to exhibit products. The money that will be collected from the event will be used to cater for expenses incurred in the conference.

The vice chancellor of Kirinyaga university Professor Mary Ndungu affirmed to the committee preparing the event that the facilities were ready to be used by the delegates attending the event.

 “Despite the school being in session, the university will ensure that everything works seamlessly with minimum interruptions on either operation,” assured Mary Ndungu.

“We have held several meetings with representatives from the county, hoteliers from the county, and the CoG team and our people have been sensitized on the standards of food and sanitation for the meeting,” stated the Governor.

She also assured tight security will be well be organized for the five-day event.

“We have held meetings with security officers from the region to discuss how the delegates will be protected during the conference,” she confirmed.

The conference will build up from previous ones and allow the government and its key stakeholders to discuss what they have managed to deliver, the transformation over the last one year and to measure the progress made in regards to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Big Four Agenda.
