On Friday afternoon, commuters were stranded along Nyamira-Miruka Highway as DP visited the place.

For the better part of Friday afternoon, commuters were stranded along Nyamira-Nyamira-Miruka Highway as Deputy President William Ruto returned in the town after two years.

Dp William Ruto who was received at Nyaigesa Primary school by West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi, Borabu MP Ben Momanyi and Kitutu Masaba’s Shadrack Mose along with County MP Jerusha Momanyi.

Youths wearing shirts branded #DPRuto2022 were seen beefing up security as thousands flooded the tiny South Nyanza town perhaps have a glimpse of Dr. Ruto.

William Ruto stopped over in the town, moments after the commissioning of West Mugirango Technical Training Institute and West Mugirango constituency offices.

“I am here to promote development. This is the most important thing. I will also continue supporting churches across the country,” said Dp Ruto. The MPs backed Ruto’s 2022 bid, with Mr. Kemosi lauding him for continued support to the entire Gusii region for development. Mr. Mose promised to deliver for Ruto in 2022.

After leaving the Nyamira Town, he proceeded to Nyamira Catholic church for a fundraiser.


Muthama Plans to Sue DP Ruto Over His Presidential Ambitions

Former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama on Saturday declared that he will file a suit that will block DP Rutos ambition to succees President Kenyatta come 2022.

“The president and his deputy should both retire when their term comes to an end. If Ruto remains in office, he will use plans that he had developed with the president, therefore, there will be no change.
“However, if they retire together and a new person assumes office, Kenyans will see change,” explained.

The former senator also added that the current constitutional arrangement does not conceive a fair distribution of political power as it does not provide for equal opportunities for all communities to ascend to the office.

“I have met my lawyers this morning and have instructed them to move to the constitutional court to seek a declaration that once a sitting president completes his second term in office, his deputy should also retire automatically,” stated Muthama.

Muthama, however, dismissed the allegation that he is targeting and having the ill motive against DP Ruto.
He, further said that he would instruct his lawyers to spare Dp William Ruto so that he can become the first person to seek the presidency after serving as the country’s deputy president. However, after that, the president and his deputy will be required to vacate their offices at the same time.

On Friday Several Jubilee leaders clash in front of Dp William Ruto during the final send-off of Mama Jeniffer Cianjagi Njuki, mother of Tharaka Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki. The clash between leaders started when Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria expressed his intentions to the gathering of him joining the race for president come 2022.

“God has blessed me in many ways. We have been told that we should steer off politics, but when I look at the leaders present, I am the only one capable of carrying out my duties and still politics.

“I am here to ask for your votes as a presidential candidate. Come 2022, my name will be on the ballot box, I will disclose the party that I will use to vie,” Kuria stated as the mourners burst out in laughter.

His comments and intentions he announced during the meeting didn’t go well with other leaders.

In a quick rejoinder, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru indicated that one could easily tell the regions political inclination and who they were likely to support come 2022.

Kiambu Governor also joined the critics stating that Moses Kuria was creating confusion within the alliance.

“We don’t want the residents of Tharaka Nithi to wonder why the electorate in Kiambu is confused. I want to state that we are fully supporting the DP,” Waititu asserted.

Then came the Kikuyu MP Antony Kimani Ichung’wa who equally fired a salvo against Kuria.

Kikuyu Legislator Kimani Ishungwa also commented saying, “When the time comes, I will tour Tharaka Nithi to ask you to vote for someone as the President. My preferred candidate will neither be me nor Moses Kuria.”

Meru Governor was also not left in the heated politicking brought in by Moses Kuria.

He said, “A hen will boast across the village after laying a single egg. On the other hand, a cow will feed an entire village with milk and no one will get to hear the news. Going forward, the region will no longer vote naysayers, we will vote for people who prove to be beneficial to us. We will vote for our interests first.”

Boni Khalwale (Former Kakamega Senator) made a shocking declaration that the National Super Alliance campaign team employed propaganda and lies to de-campaign DP Ruto and President Kenyatta in the 2017 campaigns. He also vowed to dedicate his resources to campaign for the DP to succeed President Kenyatta.

DP Ruto Takes New Turn on 2022 Presidential Bid


DP William Ruto has revealed that he would like to serve for only seven years if he is elected as president come 2022. His revelation took many by surprise since he had been known to be up against the amendment of the constitution where the president will serve a nonrenewable 7-year term.

In March 2018, he accused those who were behind the move of being blinded by selfish interests instead of focusing their energies on service delivery.

“It’s not time for us to go round talking about changing the Constitution to create some positions and attain our selfish interests at the expense of service delivery,” said DP Ruto.

However, it seems Ruto has now warmed up to the idea given his latest sentiments. If the new plans are passed, it will mean that the DP President will leave office in 2029 and not in 2032 as was the plan.


As part of the new plan, the deputy president will hold fewer harambees, support the Big 4 agenda and have a less aggressive approach.

Deputy President William Ruto is so keen as he looks forward to succeed President Kenyatta at the end of his term. He is looking forward to increase key contacts in different capitals as the race heat up.

According to Daily Nation, DP Ruto has turned foreign travels as he seeks to establish good working relationships across the world.

This revelation comes days after DP announced that he was slowing down his presidential bid. His first visit was to the United Kingdom on Wednesday, February 6 has set the ball rolling.

DP Ruto on his visit to the United Kingdom gave a lecture at Chatham House where he proposed for the creation of an office of the leader of the opposition.

“The winner ascends to a formally constituted leadership role while the runner-up becomes a virtual stranger in leadership,” the DP stated during his address.

I Support Kenyatta For A Third Term – Kalonzo

Kalonzo Musyoka who is one of NASA CO-Principals on Friday announced that he was ready to support President Kenyatta’s bid for a third term in office.

Kalonzo revealed his support during the Kamba leaders meeting in Machakos County. He stated that the constitutional review process was unstoppable and called on leaders from other communities to support the president’s will.

“Let’s come together with other communities and help our brother Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta. If he says after the new Constitution that he wants to proceed I will support him,” declared Kalonzo.

According to Kalonzo, there was a need to expand the executive in order to make the government an all-inclusive state once and for everyone. He also revealed that there was a general agreement among the opposition parties to team up with President Kenyatta to oversee the revision exercise.

“I foresee a situation where Wiper Democratic Movement will go into coalition with Jubilee, ODM, ANC, Ford Kenya and form one indivisible political juggernaut that will produce the next Prime Minister under a new Constitution, ” he stated.

At the event, Kalonzo Musyoka belittled a brewing rebellion instigated against him by Governors Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni),  Alfred Mutua (Machakos) and Charity Ngilu (Kitui), who did not attend the function.
