The county boss revealed in an interview with the star that his life has been in danger many times after he locked out corruption cartels since the time he was holding office as Baringo District Commissioner.

Martin Wambora narrated to journalists that a lot of money used to pass through his hands and at all times he could account for every cent for all the Harambee projects, therefore Moi knew that he was a trusted person. Moi thus sent his son Gideon Moi to protect him.

Embu governor revealed that as he struggled to take control of his county, it became so intense that the ex-Interior CS Joseph Ole Lenku and former Police IG David Kimaiyo warned the governor about his security.

“They told me Governor be careful. Don’t always be in your house. Be careful where you eat. I have been security chairman as District Commissioner for Baringo so I knew the realities and what they were speaking about,” recounted Martin Wambora.

Ole Lenku and David Kimayo also instructed him to avoid night meetings completely and to desist from announcing his travel plans. “Just appear in a place and do what you are going to do and move on,” the two security bosses advised.

Talking about his enemies, Wambora stated, “The people who wanted to remove me are poor leaders. If it was a better person, I would not mind. But if I knew it’s a leader who just wants power, prestige and to access resources, I could not leave wananchi to the lions, to the carnivores to be torn apart,” vowed Wambora.

Former MP Reveals Moi Ready For Talks With Ruto

Kanu Secretary General Nick Salat revealed that KANU was ready for any reconciliation meeting with DP William Ruto so as to enable the two leaders to team up together in the run-up to the 2022 elections.

Recently Kalenjin elders warned the two leaders that the community would fail to risk clinching the presidency come 2022 due to the battle between the two leaders. The elders urged the two to talk as if they both run for president they will be at risk losing.

Nick Salat who on Wednesday revealed that the elders needed to understand the root of the matter between the two leaders.

“Our chairman, who is the Baringo Senator, is ready for any peace talks with DP Ruto but the elders who have shown that they would like to mediate between the duo must understand the genesis of the rift,” said Nick Salat.

Nick Salat further insisted that for the talks to happen, the DP needed to ask for forgiveness from the Moi family.

“DP Ruto should ask for forgiveness from the family of the former president because he is the one who has been saying unpalatable things about them,” Salat reiterated.

Nonetheless, on Wednesday, Salat stated that KANU was not willing to accept mediation if it meant that its chair would be asked to step down for Ruto.

“KANU will provide alternative leadership because, as Rift Valley, we cannot put all our eggs in one basket,” declared Salat.

Kalenjin Community is at risk of losing the 2022 presidential race due to selfish interests from two leaders from the community. kalenjin elders have warned the two Kalenjin leaders going against each other in the next election.

“They are both our sons but they have decided not to listen to us. We have sought appointments through their personal aides and even approached them in public forums but all these efforts have proved futile,” he said.

Mr. Seii replied by saying: “Our objective is the unity of all Kalenjins ahead of the 2022 general elections. It will guarantee better bargaining power even if one of our own does not succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.”

With William having declared his interests as president, his political rival Gideon Moi has shown his interest but has not declared to the public yet.

2022 succession having kicked off in style, DP now appears to be temperamental after the handshake between Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Kanu chairman and Baringo senator Gideon Moi is set to share a platform with Musalia Mudavadi in Kakamega town today. The two are expected to lead a funds drive aid of Kakamega traders welfare group. The two were invited by Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala.

Gideon in the recent have been making tours around the country in a call for 2022 succession bid, he was in Homa Bay in October. Though he has not made a public decision that he is running for president his actions depicts his interests.

In early 1950.s former President Daniel Toroitich Moi and influential Cabinet minister Moses Mudavadi were close friends and reunion of their sons is almost a replication.

In October, Cotu Secretary General Francis Atwoli and Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa were invited to Kabarak where they held talks with the former president.
